A Date With Marsha

No doubt about it, nothing adds more to a picture of a classic car than a pretty girl in period costume. Add a few accessories and voila, it's like you're shooting your own vintage car brochure.

Take these shots of my friend Marsha, posing with a 1960 Thunderbird I used to own. Our friend Paul shot the pics in sepia. He appears in the upper shot.

So here is my 1965 Lincoln Continental at a Charity Car Show. Nicely detailed, period luggage in contrasting color, but something is missing. What could it be?

Of course, a glamor girl in period attire. Let me just step out of the frame and...

Now isn't THAT better?

Paul and I will just hide off camera.

  1. I don't know where to start, lol.

The first car I ever fell in love with was my aunt Hoohoo's '58 Tbird-Silver Mink with black and white interior. The sepia photos of the '60 are stunning—perfect architecture as well as models!

Love your '65 Lincoln, too. I haven't ridden in a "suicide" Continental since I was about 7 years old—a friend of my grandmother owned one. I also ADORE your license plate. Endora was ALWAYS my favorite character on Bewitched.

That series of photos really show the fun and enjoyment that is inherent in collecting, and showing, old cars. I haven't participated in the hobby since the 1980s, and didn't realize I missed it!

    You're adorable, too, lol!

  2. It's a classic couple: a beautiful girl and an old car! But the effects are always very good!
